Christmas Card Share

Well I hope you all have been having a wonderful holiday, and are recovering nicely for the spirit(s) of the season!

I just wanted to stop by and share some of the cards I created this year before 2014 comes to a close.

This is a cute little cute file I got online that I modified to hold 6 of those little Swiss chocolates from Costco.

Reindeer in the Dark ;)

I made these for the ladies at Oscar's Doggy Daycare, I think they are my favourite of the season lol

And with the good times come the sad.  Unfortunately a dear friend of mine lost her father suddenly just before Christmas, and this is the card I made for her.

I'd love to see some of YOUR creations!  Link me in the comments!

I'd like to thank each and every one of you for being so wonderful and supportive this year and look forward to many happy times in 2015!!  Be safe out there xo

In the meantime I wanted to share something with you.  I might have gone a little crazy one morning and did this:

The photos don't do it justice, this thing SPARKLES!  I am obsessed!

I REGRET NOTHING!

Tiddly Inks Design Team Entry!

Happy Sunday my lovelies!

I know it's been a bit since I posted, but hey, it's summer and I've been out with the pup, soaking up this amazing sunshine!

The other day I was doing my morning check of Facebook and noticed that one of my favourite stamp companies, Tiddly Inks, was having a design team call, and I decided to give it a shot.  I've never applied to one of these, but I've always admired the beautiful projects that people come up with, and I'd love to be part of something like that.  So without further ado, here's my entry!

I chose Mystria as my image.  She's a digi, that was printed on (surprisingly) Michael's cardstock with my laser printer and coloured in with my precious Copics.

Mystria is a great buy because not only do you get her, you also get the awesomely swirly tree, and digital papers too (see the inside of the drawer).

I chose to do my card with a twist - it also doubles as a gift box!  The small handle is from FabScraps, and as I said above, the paper lining the drawer is a digital paper that comes with your Mystria purchase!

I had a great time making this, and I hope you all enjoy it!  I'd love to hear what you think of it, so let your voice be heard in the comments section.  Feel free to give me a follow if you like what you see!

Storm Day Creation

Today tropical storm Arthur passed through The Maritimes, so we were pretty much housebound.  I did get some cleaning done, but I also created!

Here's a card I did (while having a Beverly Hills 90210 marathon on Netflix... MmmDylan...)

Image is a digi (TheEastWind), colored with Copics and embellished with Stickles, Glossy Accents, and Distress Ink.

Let me know what you think!

I made a Fairy Garden! Plus some exciting news!

Good evening everyone!

Before I get going on my planned post for today, I wanted to share some exciting news with you.  So as you know from my last post, I entered a blog challenge with the Kenny K Krafty Krew.  Well guess what??  My project got selected by the designers as TOP 3!!!  I am SO excited!!  I am a HUGE fan of the Kenny K images, so this is a real honour for me :)  So check out my shiney new Blog Candy on the side bar!  I also get a FREE Kenny K digi!!  I'm on Cloud 9!!

So now, back to my regularly scheduled (yet 3 days late) blog post.  You guys, I drank beer and made a Fairy Garden on the weekend!  My sweet friend Mel surprised me with this kit from Michael's a little while ago, and the weather was FINALLY nice enough for me to get out and do it!  J and I went to Canadian Tire where we got the container, soil and a few plants, and then he cracked me a beer and said "Get to it!", and I did!

My supplies
This kit is available at Michael's
I bought this at Canadian Tire for $19.99, I love it!

Rocks in the bottom so I can be cheap with the soil lol

I used those flat back lass marbles to make the pathways, they are BEAUTIFUL when the sun hits them!

Had to make sure to get a shot so you can see the fence!

English Daisy - Galaxy Red

Osteospermum - Astra Pink (African Daisy)

Pepper Purple Flash

I am SO happy with how this turned out!  I also planted green onion seeds in the empty spots, so hopefully they will grow up and be edible :)  I hope to find lots of goodies to put in here over the summer.  Who knows?  Maybe the Fairies will bring me something lol

Have YOU made a Fairy Garden?  Send me pictures, I'd love to see!

Kenny K Krafty Krew Challenge - Femme Fatale!

Seriously.  How can I NOT enter something with a challenge name that's the same as a Britney Spears album?!  It was MEANT TO BE lol

Challenge Link:  CLICK ME!

And my entry:

I made a  Birthday/Anniversary Reminder calendar for my desk for this challenge.  It is free standing, and each month has its own page.

I used Kenny K's Capt. Locke, the rubber stamp version, purchased from Whimsy Stamps.  She was stamped and embossed and then colored in with Copics.

I hope you like her!  I had a great time making this project :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Let me start off by wishing all the Mommas and Furbaby Mommas a very HAPPY Mother's Day!

I had a great day with the fam.  We went over to my sister's and had a Mother's Day brunch for her and my Mommy.  I made Mom's famous Wife Saver breakfast casserole, and it was DELICIOUS!  My sister surprised me with a Furbaby Mother's Day gift, which was SO sweet and completely unexpected!  She got me a super cute mug for my tea with apples on it, and some melt-in-your-mouth AMAZINGLY YUMMY fudge from a lady at one of the craft fairs she was at.  Oh, and she totes had it all in a Backstreet Boys (Millennium-era) Gift Bag!  Sweet!

As you know 2 of my favourite people, Lindsey & Glenda (whom I lovingly refer to as my Baby Mommas), were celebrating their very FIRST Mother's Day, so I wanted to make them a card to commemorate the day:

The image is from Saturated Canary, though I believe it's retired now, so I don't think you can buy it anymore.  They were colored with Copics, the patterned paper from Pink Paislee, and the cardstock is from American Crafts. I've been told I should make more of these, so I probably will.  Keep checking out my ArtFire Studio and Etsy Shop!

This is the card I made for my Mommy.  In the drawer I had her gift which was a Kameleon Jewelpop :)

This card was made using Graphic 45's Botanical Tea Collection. The cardstock is from American Crafts, the "Where there is tea, there is love" stamp is from the Botanical Tea Collection, and so nicely lent to me by my darling Mel.  The adorable little handle on this drawer was purchased from Kim at The Cutting Garden in Halifax, and I believe it is made by FabScraps.

The Baby Mommas ordered card for the ladies in their lives, and these are what I made for them.  For Lindsey I tried the Pop Up Box Cards I've been seeing all over Pinterest.  They were SO fun to make!  I have lots of ideas for these in the future!

I used a paper pad from DCWV for the patterened bits and the flowers, the cardstock is Recollections and the little fence was cut out with my Cameo.  The lettering was done with Photoshop and then printed out with my laser printer.

And for Glenda, she liked what I made my Mom, so she ordered 4!  I unfortunately didn't have any more of the Botanical Tea to spare, but I did have some other Graphic 45 papers that I used :)

The Peach and Mint one was made using patterned paper from Graphic 45, Sweet Sentiments Collection, and Recollections Cardstock.  The stamps, again, were from the Botanical Tea Collection.

The Cream and Purple one was also made with Graphic 45, but this time I used Secret Garden Collection paper, and the cardstock was Recollections.

I should mention here that my goal for May is to 'create within my stash'.  Meaning I'm ONLY using products that I have here in my craft room.  It's shocking how much stuff I have in here that I forgot I even bought lol

Again, all of these will also be popping up in my ArtFire and Etsy shops, so stay tuned!
